Billie Eilish Biography

For some music lovers from the Hollywood industry, surely you are already familiar with new singers who are culminating thanks to a video clip from a song titled “When the Party’s Over”, yes, Billie Eilish. Billie, who is still very young, around 16 years old, managed to achieve a brilliant success thanks to her consistency in creating new songs with her typical soft and loud voice. Billie proved to be consistent in giving birth to songs proven by the album he just launched titled “when the party’s over”.

I myself started to like and was interested in hearing the songs that he brought thanks to his recent single which peaked. At first, I just spent time exploring Instagram and accidentally met a short video from the clip “when the party’s over” which I thought was mysterious and scary in quotes.

The video clip that went through 3.6 million viewers on YouTube in one day lasted 3 minutes and was only filled with a white background and the blue-haired singer lit up. Billie sat down while occasionally expressing the lyrics of the song. Its natural face without extra thick makeup looks so “tired” of life. Like teenagers in general, if you ask my opinion.

Then Billie grabbed a glass of drinks that couldn’t be defined. The drink is basically thick brown and will come out of Billie’s second eye when he sings the words “Quiet when I’m coming home, I’m on my own”.

Apart from the phenomenal video clip, I myself became so curious about the lyrics that Billie brought. Because I wasn’t smart to hear the vocabulary that Billie sang, I rushed to Genius.com to find out the lyrics. Genius.com is a site that usually presents song lyrics and the plus is, Genius.com has a feature called “Genius Annotation”.

Genius Annotation is a column that can be filled by contributors in completing the meaning of song lyrics. Generally, Genius Annotation is filled by people who have enough facts to complete the meaning of song lyrics. Either fact comes from interview data or other sources. Not just being able to write subjective things that manipulate. Because there are also upvote and downvote features.

[Verse 1]

Don’t you know I’m no good for you

I’ve learned to lose you, can’t afford to

Tore my shirt to stop you bleedin ‘

But nothin ‘ever stops you leavin’

In this verse explained by the contributors in Genius Annotation, the last two lyrics of the initial verse are meaningful “The song is some of the important personal sacrifice to rescue, but even all of that effort to save them was not enough to prevent them from eventually leaving her. ” This connotation was used to show that Eilish had made a personal sacrifice to save someone so he meant this song. However, all the endeavors he put in the end were not enough to prevent others from leaving his side, more or less the meaning.

[Chorus]

Quiet when I’m coming home and I’m on my own

I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that

I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that

[Verse 2]

Don’t you know too much already

I’ll only hurt you if you let me

Call me friend but keep me closer (Call me back)

And I’ll call you when the party’s over

Lyrics “Call me friend but keep me closer (Call me back)” has the same meaning as the lyrics in the initial verse. According to contributors in Genius Annotation, it was written, “This comes from saying” Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. “To her lover, she is turning into enemy. Billie is referring to the” other “in the story suggesting that they relationship is only friendship, but then acting as if it was romantic. ” This lyrics comes from the phrase “Keep your friends and opponents close.” For the Billie couple, he has turned into an opponent. While Billie is the figure told in the lyrics in a relationship that is actually a friendship, but acting as if it were romantic.

[Chorus]

Quiet when I’m coming home and I’m on my own

And I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that

Yeah I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that

[Bridge]

But nothing is better sometimes

Once we’ve both said our goodbyes

Let’s just let it go

Let me let you go

That is the meaning of Billie Eilish’s “when the party’s over” song lyrics. As a teenager like Billie, I can feel what he wrote in the lyrics of the song. The things Billie wrote actually happened in my life. And I can quickly feel comfortable with the new single released 4 days ago. Hmmm, sometimes our efforts to do something more for others will not always be appreciated by them, as Billie wrote. I totally can relate to her song directly.
