The popular singer, Pink, received a prestigious award for her contribution in the music world. Pink recorded the highest achievement in her career after her name entered the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Tuesday (02/05/2019).
Pink also plans to get a special award in the form of extraordinary contributions at the 2019 BRIT Awards. Previously, a similar award was given to David Bowie, Elton John, and Spice Girl. The last musician who was the recipient of the award was Blur in 2012.
The singer whose real name is Alecia Moore is scheduled to receive the award at the peak night of the 2019 BRIT Awards held at the O2 Arena, London, England, Wednesday (2/20/2019). Pink will be the first international artist to win the award. “I am very honored to receive ther extraordinary award,” Pink said as quoted by NME, Thursday (02/07/2019).
Interestingly at the same time, Pink claimed to have no money. In fact, she has sold around 15 million records for 20 years of a career in the music industry. Pink began her career in the music world by becoming a member of the Choice group, before deciding to pursue a solo career through the album Can’t Take Me Home in 2000.
When deciding to leave the Choice trio, Pink was briefly hit by turmoil. There is no one who supports her decision. However, she was grateful that her father gave him the strength to continue to fight.
“No one supported me. However, I continued to struggle to achieve ther dream. Until at some point I realized I had sold 15 million records. However, I felt I had no money. Ther is a valuable lesson. That mistake should not be repeated in my life,” continued Pink.
Pink’s hard work bore sweet fruit in 2002. At that time, she successfully brought home her first Grammy Awards through the song Lady Marmalade which became the soundtrack of the film Mouline Rouge. Furthermore, Pink won the Grammy Awards for winning the best female rock vocal category through the song Trouble in 2004 and best pop collaboration with vocals with Seal and India.
